Principal’s Report
NAPLAN
NAPLAN has come to a close for 2023. Thank you to our teachers, Year 3 and 5 students and their families for support for NAPLAN testing. We are all very proud of our Year 3 and 5 students for the way they approached the tests and worked to demonstrate their great learning. Students do enjoy the on-line testing as a way to really showcase everything that they could do.
NAPLAN provides information to assist the school with data to diagnose improvements.
We are all very proud of our Year 3 and 5 students who completed NAPLAN in 2023.
Parent Teacher Interviews - Date Claimer
Families are encouraged to date claim Parent Teacher Interviews scheduled for early Term 2. We will have the vast majority of interviews scheduled on Monday 24 April in the school hall.
This is an important opportunity for families and the school to come together to discuss learning progress and identify goals for improvement.
Kokoda Challenge Team Sponsors
A big shout out to our 2023 Kokoda Challenge teams who have been training very hard preparing for their 18km event in June.
This is made possible with the dedication of our team leaders, parents and family and our wonderful team sponsors and shirt sponsor.

End of Term 1
This newsletter brings Term 1 to a close. We take this opportunity to celebrate a great start to the 2023 school year. There have been many highlights.
Our beginning of school with the book pack drop off worked really well in making the first day of school very smooth. It was amazing to have a real sense of community at our Active School Travel launch with around 300 people joining together to walk to school. We also look forward to our community coming together at the Easter Hat Parade. We also had many special activities for different year levels.
We look forward to Term 2. We look forward to ANZAC Day, Mothers' Day athletics and school camps for Year 4 and 6. We have Parent-Teacher Interviews and school reporting to celebrate the learning growth of our students. The term ahead will be important yet busy term to finalise Semester 1.
Happy Easter
As we approach the Autumn holidays, we wish all of our families a special and safe Easter period and a very Happy Easter to all of our families.

Keeping up with school information
Our school communicates with our school community in a number of ways. This newsletter is one way. We also have class newsletters going home a couple of times a term. We also have a school Facebook page. Many families find that Facebook is a convenient way to receive updates and information.
Please see the following links to assist with accessing our school Facebook page.

Parents and community members who are not on Facebook may access the Facebook updates via the feed on the school website .
