Principal’s Report
One of our special days is Harmony Day. This is an opportunity for students to wear something orange.
Harmony Day is an important day where we come together to celebrate our diversity within a community where everyone belongs. We celebrate our different cultures and individual differences within our wonderful Coomera Springs community.
Please mark this day in your calendar.
Importance of full school attendance
“It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It's what we do consistently.” (Anthony Robbins)
Whether you abide by Anthony Robbins or by the belief in the power of small changes day by day, consistency builds improvement to change lives.
Full school attendance is important. Being at school every day, unless there is a good reason, arriving on time and not leaving early builds the consistency to leverage the most out of school for wonderful future lives.
Students with full school attendance achieve at school and connect with their friends every day. They also build good life habits towards future success.
Teaching teams have been looking at the attendance, late arrival, and early departure data so far for this year. Please let you teacher know if there is anything that we can help with to build good school attendance for your student. We know how important full school attendance is. We want to see our students here every minute of the school week unless there is a good reason. Every minute makes a difference. Consistency matters!
Thank you for your assistance with good school attendance for your students.

NAPLAN
NAPLAN is moving from May to March. In 2023, NAPLAN tests will be held from 15 to 27 March. This means schools and teachers will have results earlier in the year to better inform school and system teaching and learning programs.
This year is the second year of NAPLAN being completed in an on-line format. This provides significant advantages to individualise the test to each individual student. NAPLAN is designed in a branched format with students starting at the same place then moving to different sets of questions ensuring that the test is tailored for the student. This provides the right amount of gentle challenge for each student. This worked very well for our students in 2022 and marks a significant advances in assessment.

Keeping up with school information
Our school communicates with our school community in a number of ways. This newsletter is one way. We also have class newsletters going home a couple of times a term. We also have a school Facebook page. Many families find that Facebook is a convenient way to receive updates and information.
Please see the following links to assist with accessing our school Facebook page.

Parents and community members who are not on Facebook may access the Facebook updates via the feed on the school website.
