Principal’s Report
Thank you to every Coomera Springs Family
I want to really acknowledge how every CSSS family has provided great support to the school during the Greater Brisbane Area Lock Down. The messages and advice changed at short notice, and families have made enormous adjustments to ensure the safety of students, and to meet the changing Health Guidelines.
We simply could not have gotten through this week without your help. Thank you to our wonderful Springs’ families.
Have a great Easter.
End of Term 1
This newsletter marks the end of a successful Term 1 at Coomera Springs State School. The start of the school year has been very smooth and students settled in quickly to their learning routines. Our youngest students in Prep have quickly moved ahead in their learning and students throughout the school have adjusted very well to their 2021 year level expectations.
I take this opportunity to thank all students and families for your successes at school during Term 1.
P&C Annual General Meeting
We introduce our 2021 P&C Executive as determined at the AGM last week.
President: Ann Arthur
Vice President: vacant
Treasurer: Erin Nichols
Secretary: vacant
The vacant positions will be determined through a casual vacancy process at the next P&C meeting. We acknowledge that the rain event last week impacted upon the ability of some interested people in attending the AGM.
Creating Bright Futures Together with students achieving in student behaviour, engagement and wellbeing!
We continue a short focus on the innovative work happening at Coomera Springs to support learning for all students. Each week, students across the school engage in a lesson supporting positive behaviour, engagement and wellbeing. Over three weeks, students receive one lesson on our PBL focus, ‘You Can Do It” and Zones of Regulation. These are high quality evidence-based approaches to support all students at school.
This week, we celebrate students who have achieved their DoJo Award levels and acknowledgements.
Students receive a ‘You Can Do It’ lesson
Junior - Week 10: Persistence

Senior - Week 10: Self-motivation through hard

We celebrate student achievement during Term 1 in behaviour, “You Can Do It’ and emotional self-regulation through Zones of Regulation.
Students need to be challenged to grow, learn, and become confident and resilient in a supportive environment. In 2021, we work to create bright futures together.

PANTRY ITEMS FOR THE TUCKSHOP
If you are interested in volunteering some of your time in the Tuckshop or at P&C events but are unable to do so, we have come up with a way for you to help.
Below is a list of Pantry Items, and all we ask is for one or as many as you like, to be donated to the School Tuckshop pantry. This way this will cut the spending costs and allow more of the profits to be returned to the school.
Items can be either home brand or name brand and dropped off to the School Tuckshop.
Thank you for your support, as it is all about our children in our school community.
