Principal’s Report
Dear Parents & Caregivers,
What a year 2016 has been. This is our final newsletter of the year, and will only be a brief one.
The Coomera Springs community has a lot be proud of this year with so many different activities and achievements to reflect upon.
This week we have said a farewell to our graduating class of 2016. We wish all students a wonderful and smooth transition into high school and a successful and joyous time ahead. Both the graduation and final roll call events were spectacular occasions, thank you to the parents and teachers for making these times memorable.
Report Cards
This week report cards have been emailed home. These were all emailed out on Wednesday though our OneSchool system, so please check your junk folder if you are yet to receive yours.
2017 Dates
The school will be closed from Friday the 9th of December and will reopen on Monday the 16th of January.
Pupil Free Days will be held for teachers on Wednesday the 18th, 19th and 20th of January.
The first school day for 2017 will be Monday the 23rd of January. Once again class lists will be displayed near the tuckshop undercover area, please ensure that you check these again, as the lists we currently have are in DRAFT and are subject to change.
2017 Booklists
The Online Ordering system is up and running so please continue to purchase school book packs in readiness for 2017. Please follow the instructions in the attached document. We strongly advise that you get your ordering done early to ensure delivery for the first day of school. Kookaburra do a great service and will delivery straight to your door.
Uniform Shop
The uniform shop is fully stocked and extra times have been made available to purchase uniforms before school start in 2017.

Wednesday 18th January - 8.15- 10am and 2.30-
4pm
Thursday 19th January - 2.30pm - 4pm
Friday 20th January - 8.15am - 10am and 2.30 -
4pm
Flexischool orders can also be picked up on these days if preferred.

Staff Farewells
As our school year comes to an end, we are also preparing to say goodbye to some of our much loved staff members. Working with Education Queensland means that staff are moved to different school throughout their careers. This year, with much sadness, we are saying goodbye to Mr Tim Gall, Mrs Tenille Clements, Mrs Debbie Green, Mrs Robyn Roylance, Mrs Louisa Ogden, Mrs Lauren Radovanov and Mr Patrick Penny.
All seven of these teachers are incredibly valued members of our school team and have contributed greatly to many of our students’ learning and the wider school development. We wish them all much joy and success in their future teaching opportunities.
Merry Christmas to Our School Community
I would like to thank everyone for another wonderful year. It’s an absolute pleasure and privilege to be the Principal of Coomera Springs State School. The support the students, parents, teachers and community provide for this great school is phenomenal and something we should all be very proud of.
I wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas. Please enjoy the break with family and friends and return in 2017 happy and healthy.
